The KW808 OBD-II/EOBD Code Reader is a professional yet easy-to-use handheld diagnostic tool for quickly identifying engine-related faults. Compatible with 1996 and newer OBD-II-compliant US, European, and Asian vehicles, it supports all current OBD-II protocols, including CAN.

It reads generic and manufacturer-specific diagnostic trouble codes, explains DTC definitions on-screen, and helps identify the cause of the Check Engine light. After the underlying fault has been repaired, it can clear codes, reset monitors, and turn off the Check Engine warning.

Key diagnostic functions include live PCM data streaming, live O2 sensor test data, freeze-frame data, pending codes, I/M readiness and emissions status, module-present testing, and vehicle-information retrieval including VIN, CID, and CVN. It can graph, store, and replay live sensor data, with memory and battery backup for off-vehicle review.

The scanner features a large, backlit 128 × 64 pixel LCD display with adjustable contrast, a built-in DTC lookup library, English and Spanish language support, internet-upgradeable software, and PC data-printing capability.
